Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies believes that his side's Yorkshire derby against Leeds United on Saturday will have that extra bit of spice to it, while it is also key due to the fact that the Tykes are battling to get out of the Championship's bottom three.

The Tykes are currently placed 22nd in the league table, two points adrift of Birmingham City, though they have played one game fewer than Garry Monk's men.

Depending on how Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers fare in their respective games, Barnsley will have a chance to get out of the relegation zone and Davies believes that another performance like the one which brought a 3-2 win over Sheffield United earlier in the month will help them beat the Whites at Elland Road.

The match is not just a derby, but a meeting with former manager Paul Heckingbottom. However, Davies wants to focus to be soley on the job at hand.

“It’s obviously going to have a bit of extra spice but, as players, we’re just concentrating on the game”, Davies told his club's official website.
