Chelsea legend Tommy Langley believes the Blues have nothing to fear against Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur should they reach the FA Cup final.

The Blues were Premier League champions last season, but their title defence has not gone well and they are scrapping for a top four finish towards the end of the campaign.

Antonio Conte lost the FA Cup final last season to Arsenal and the Italian has a chance to redeem himself and his team in the competition as they are in the semi-finals.

They are favourites to beat Southampton in the semi-final at the weekend, but would need to beat one of the big boys in Manchester United or Tottenham should they reach the final.

However, Langley feels given their recent performances, Chelsea have nothing to feel intimidated about when it comes to facing either Jose Mourinho or Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The former Blue said on Chelsea TV: “It would be a shame not to win a trophy and the FA Cup is our only chance.

“There is no reason, having looked at United and Spurs this week, why we need to fear them.

“But we need to get past Southampton first.”

Chelsea did beat both Manchester United and Tottenham on their way to the FA Cup final last season.
