Rangers boss Graeme Murty says he has been given selection headaches ahead of next weekend's clash against Celtic, after he watched his side see off Hearts 2-1 at Ibrox.

Murty was looking for a response from his men to last weekend's Scottish Cup semi-final drubbing against Celtic and made a number of changes in an effort to break down Craig Levein's men.

The win means that Rangers are now back up to second in the Scottish Premiership table and thoughts are turning towards the Gers' trip to Celtic next weekend.

Murty now has his plans for the coming days in place, while he also concedes he has a selection headache.

Asked what the week holds, Murty told Rangers TV: "We'll rest them.

"We've got a couple of training days before the reflection on this game.

"But we'll get prepped and ready to go.

"And I have to say the people who came in have given me food for thought now.

"All the guys that came in did well today", Murty added.

Next weekend's game is likely to be Murty's final Old Firm derby as Rangers manager, with the former youth coach expected to make way for a new boss in the summer.
