Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus feels it is a certainty that Celtic target John McGinn will leave Easter Road in the summer transfer window.

Midfielder McGinn has further boosted his reputation over the course of the current campaign with impressive performances under Hibs boss Neil Lennon.

McGinn has regularly been linked with Celtic, but other clubs are expected to be keen and McManus is convinced the midfielder will not be at Easter Road when next season starts.

McManus also noted Hibs will want the maximum possible price as St Mirren will be due a portion of the fee.

Replying to a comment on Twitter which stated Lennon is trying to push the price up to £5m while Hibs will take £2.5m, McManus said: "Not sure. Depends on who is in for him.

"Don't think Hibs will take any less than that.

"They still have to give a big chunk to St Mirren too.

"He will go though, 100%."

McGinn completed the entire 90 minutes at Easter Road on Saturday, picking up a booking as Hibs beat Celtic 2-1 to make the Bhoys wait a little longer to seal the Scottish Premiership title.

Hibs will be hoping McGinn can play a big part in helping the side finish second this season.
