Crystal Palace are preparing to launch a fresh assault to land West Ham midfield target Leander Dendoncker during the summer transfer window.

The Eagles are closing in on securing their Premier League status for one more season and Roy Hodgson is expected to steer them to safety in the remaining three league games.

The London club are already planning ahead with regards to recruitment and it has been claimed that the club are set to rekindle their interest in Anderlecht midfielder Dendoncker.

The midfielder wanted to leave the club in the winter window and despite interest from Palace and West Ham, the Belgian giants refused to sell him in January.

And according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, the Eagles are preparing to make a new bid for the player once the summer transfer window rolls out in the coming months.

Dendoncker wants to leave but there are suggestions that he will wait until the end of the World Cup before taking a decision on which club to join in the summer.

West Ham are also interested in the midfielder and Atletico Madrid reportedly have a non-binding agreement in place with Anderlecht to sign him in the summer for a fee of €20m.

The Belgian is hopeful that a strong showing in the World Cup will help him to attract bigger and better teams.
