Juventus have made exploratory contact for Manchester United and Manchester City linked midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ahead of the summer transfer window.

Lazio rejected bids last summer for the midfielder and one was believed to be from Juventus, who have been tracking the Serbian for some time.

Milinkovic-Savic’s rapid rise this season has not gone unnoticed by some of the biggest names in Europe and clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in taking him to England.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also considering a big money move for the Serbian and there are suggestions that Lazio are expecting a windfall north of €100m from his sale in the summer.

Juventus reportedly opted out of the chase for the Lazio midfielder because of the potential costs, but according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, the Italian champions have made initial contact for the player.

The Bianconeri are keen to sign midfield options in the upcoming transfer window and have been chasing Liverpool midfielder Emre Can on a free transfer.

It has been claimed that they are again exploring the option of roping in Milinkovic-Savic, but he remains a dream signing for the club and not someone they feel is a realistic option.

Lazio are aware of the interest in their player and are encouraging an auction for his sale in order to maximise their profit.
