Serie A’s Napoli have also been keeping tabs on the goalkeeper and are keen to get into the mix if it becomes clear that Leno is prepared to leave Leverkusen in the summer.

Leno’s contract with Leverkusen reportedly contains a release clause worth €20m to €25m, which will not leave any room for the German club to haggle over the transfer fee.
