Bayern Munich are considering making a move for Tottenham Hotspur target Matthijs de Ligt as doubts grow over Jerome Boateng’s long term future at the club.

The 29-year-old centre-back missed Bayern Munich’s crucial clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday night as the Germans crashed out of the Champions League in the semi-final stage.

His mounting injury problems, coupled with recent statements about his future at Bayern Munich, have led to suggestions that he could leave the club soon.

The German champions are aware of the noises surrounding the defender’s future and it has been claimed that the club are already looking at long term replacements.

And according to German magazine Sport Bild, the Bavarians are closely following De Ligt’s development at Ajax and are considering making a move for him in the summer.
