QPR boss Ian Holloway feels that his side should have won on their last visit to Elland Road and believes his men are improving on the road, ahead of their trip to Leeds United.

Holloway's side sign off on their Championship campaign on Sunday by locking horns with Leeds at Elland Road in a game where little other than pride is at stake for two mid-table teams.

The R's last visited Elland Road in March 2017 and played out a 0-0 draw in a game Holloway thinks they should have won.

Whether QPR can win at Leeds is open to question given the R's have the third worst record on the road in the Championship this season with just three wins – but Holloway is positive.

"We haven’t got the points on the road but I feel in the last few months our fans are liking our players and I feel they have enjoyed watching them grow", Holloway told his club's official site.

"Last year at Elland Road we drew and produced a brilliant performance. We should have won.

"The people who brought me up made believe that you are good enough if you are proud of yourself and that’s what I want to pass on to the lads", he added.

QPR beat Birmingham City 3-1 at Loftus Road in their last game, seeing off a Blues side led by former Leeds boss Garry Monk.

Leeds meanwhile lost 2-1 at Norwich City last time out.
