Leeds United loanee Mateusz Klich fired FC Utrecht to a 1-0 win in their final game of the regular Eredivisie season on Sunday as he continues to impress.

The Polish midfielder joined Utrecht on loan in the winter transfer window after finding himself out of favour at Elland Road.

Klich, no stranger to the Dutch Eredivisie, has firmly made his mark at Utrecht and he popped up with the winning goal in a home game against VVV Venlo.

Utrecht have finished fifth in the regular Eredivisie and will now be looking to book a Europa League spot.

Klich's side take on Heerenveen in the playoff round and would meet the winners of ADO Den Haag and Vitesse if they can see off De Superfriezen.

The Dutch midfielder has made 13 appearances over the course of his loan spell with Utrecht, chipping in with three assists in the process.

Klich was limited to only 135 minutes of Championship football for Leeds in the first half of the season and was desperate to return to playing week in, week out.
