Bordeaux president Stephane Martin is not ready to tell Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Malcom to stop dreaming about a Bayern Munich move, insisting that a denial at this point in time would mean little.

The youngster has long been linked with a move away from France, with both Premier League clubs admirers of his talents

The winger was chased by both Arsenal and Tottenham in the January window, but Bordeaux would not sell as they feared a Ligue 1 relegation battle.

The door was opened for Malcom to move in the summer, however now Bayern Munich look to be ahead of the competition for his signature.

Though Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has denied reports that the Bavarians have already agreed a five-year contract with the winger, his Bordeaux counterpart insists that a denial at this point means little, firstly because it would not be right for the current crop of Bayern Munich players, and secondly because of the fears that the Bavarians would signal their transfer plans.

"A denial at this time means little", Martin told German daily Bild.

"First, I think it would not be the right message to the existing players.

"Second, he would inform other clubs very early on [of] his future plans.

"Malcom can continue to dream of Bayern."

The 21-year-old has been in good form for his club this season, scoring ten goals in 33 league matches.
