Chelsea are amongst the clutch of clubs who are interested in snaring Cengiz Under away from Roma in the summer.

Roma had to fight off stiff competition to sign the Turkish youngster from Basaksehir last year and the winger has impressed in his first season in Italy.

Struggling to initially find a place in Eusebio De Francesco’s teams earlier in the campaign, the Turk grew into stature and is set to finish the season as one of Roma's key players.

Already attracting much interest in Turkey, Under’s first season in Italy has led to more clubs taking a look at him and according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Chelsea are one of the sides keeping tabs on him.

The Premier League giants are always on the lookout for young talents and the 20-year-old has emerged as a viable target for the west London club.

However, should a transfer become possible, Chelsea are expected to face stiff competition for his signature from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.

Roma are yet to take any decision on whether to cash in on Under after just one season, but there are suggestions they could more than double the €15m they paid for him last summer.

Under, who has scored eight goals this season for Roma, has a contract until 2022 with the club.
