Rangers striker Ryan Hardie has provided an injury update and insists that surgery went well.

Hardie has been on loan at Livingston, but had his season ended early recently after he was struck down by injury, which meant he misses out on the club's playoff push.

No time has been wasted in the Rangers striker going under the knife and he is now looking forward to making a full recovery and returning to the pitch.

Hardie posted a photograph on social media from his hospital bed and wrote: "Op went well.

"Looking forward to getting back soon", he added.
