Former Celtic recruitment head John Park could be set to take a role in Israel.

Park, who was in charge of recuitment and scouting at Celtic from 2007 until 2016 and uneathed talents such as Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele and Tom Rogic, has been in Israel over the last week.




On Sunday, Park took in a clash between Ashdod and Kiryat Shmona, alongside Maccabi Tel Aviv CEO Ben Mansford.

And according to Israeli network ONE, Park is in line to work as an advisor on transfers for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
 


The Israeli giants are keen to utilise Park's knowledge to bring in foreign players to develop, push the team forward and then sell on.

Mansford, CEO of Maccabi Tel Aviv, took the job after departing a similar role with English Championship side Leeds United.

Maccabi Tel Aviv currently sit in third place in the Israeli top flight, two points off second placed Beitar Jerusalem and 12 off leaders Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

They have two games remaining, at home against Beitar Jerusalem this evening and then away at Bnei Yehuda.
