Manchester United are set to open talks with Monaco soon to get a deal over the line for the signature of France full-back Djibril Sidibe.

Jose Mourinho is eyeing heavy reinforcements for his defence this summer and full-backs on either side are one of his priorities for the ongoing transfer window.




Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signing of Juventus’ Alex Sandro and it seems the club are set to make a move for a new right-back.

According to French magazine Le 10 Sport, the Premier League giants are on the verge of opening negotiations with Monaco for the signature of 25-year-old full-back Sidibe.
 


The Frenchman has the ability to play on either side of the defence, but has been primarily used as a right-back at Monaco and it seems he could moving to England in the summer.

Sidibe is part of France’s World Cup squad and the next few months could be hectic for him if Manchester United manage to strike a deal with Monaco.

The English club are looking to get the deal over the line before the World Cup starts but the negotiations could drag on as Monaco are known to drive a hard bargain.

Signed from Lille for €15m in 2016, the Ligue 1 giants are looking to maximise their profits from the full-back’s sale this summer.
