Eidur Gudjohnsen expects Chelsea to make a number of additions over the course of the summer transfer window, though he does not think the new arrivals will be playing for Antonio Conte next season.

Chelsea rounded off their season on Saturday by beating Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley to lift the FA Cup.

But finishing in fifth place in the Premier League has cast a shadow over Chelsea's campaign and means they will only have Europa League football next term.

As such, Gudjohnsen expects Chelsea to dip into the transfer market as they try to get back into the top four, but he expects Conte, despite winning silverware in both his seasons in charge, to go.

The former Iceland international said on Chelsea TV: "I think we could see a good few additions. Whether many players will leave I am not so sure.

"The one that probably will leave is Conte. That is just my thought on it. I don't have any facts. It's just a feeling that I have.

"If he was to go it's a great way to say goodbye.

"Hopefully he stays and he can turn it around again."

A number of Chelsea players have already been linked with moves away from the club, not least striker Alvaro Morata, who joined from Real Madrid last summer.

Juventus are keen on the Spain international.
