Russian giants Zenit St. Petersburg are willing to meet the €8m release clause in the contract of Chelsea linked coach Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian tactician can leave Napoli if the clause is met and there is doubt over whether he will stay at the Serie A side, despite leading the club to a second place finish.

Chelsea have been linked with wanting Sarri at Stamford Bridge and current Blues boss Antonio Conte is widely expected to soon depart his job.

But Zenit are also shopping for a new coach and, according to Italian broadcaster Rai, are the only club to have so far indicated they will meet Sarri's clause.

They are also willing to hand Sarri the same hefty salary former coach Roberto Mancini was on, namely between €6m and €7m per year.

Sarri has already indicated that if he does leave Napoli he will not manage another Italian club next season, opening the door for an adventure abroad.

Zenit are offering the Napoli coach a quick escape route and Chelsea may need to act if they want the Italian in London.
