Chelsea loanee Matt Miazga has conceded that he is not sure what the future holds for him, but insisted that his two-season stint at Vitesse has been a huge learning experience.

The Blues signed the American defender from New York Red Bulls in January 2016 and loaned him out for a season to Vitesse during the following transfer window.

Chelsea agreed to keep him at Vitesse for one more season last summer and the defender admits that the last two years with the Dutch outfit have had a huge effect on his development.

He believes every area of his game has improved and the amount of first team football he played at Vitesse will stand him in good stead for the future.

“For me, the two years at Vitesse have been great value for my personal growth”, the defender told Dutch daily De Gelderlander.

“I have learned a lot and every aspect of my game has improved.

"I have played over 70 games for Vitesse, which is lot of experience for the future.”

Vitesse are claimed to be keen on keeping Miazga for one more season, but for the moment it has been claimed that the chances of defender returning to the club for one more year are low.

And the United States international himself indicated that he is not sure where he is going to be playing next season.

He added: “I am waiting for everything.

“First I’ll enjoy my break and then I am off with the US national team.

"The end of the season at Vitesse has been great.”

Miazga has a contract until 2020 with Chelsea.
