Chelsea are stepping up on their efforts to bring in a new manager to replace Antonio Conte, who is expected to be shown the door.

The Blues are keen on Maurizio Sarri, who has left Napoli following the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the Serie A club's new coach, and he is a wanted man.

His agents will speak to Chelsea on Thursday to understand what terms the Blues are prepared to put in front of their client, but Sarri will not be present as he is first set to head to Russia for talks with Zenit St. Petersburg.

Chelsea also have other irons in the fire and, according to Sky Italia, have already met former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and also have a liking for former France coach Laurent Blanc.

While the Blues are firm fans of Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs are not open to letting him join another Premier League club.

Chelsea are also working on letting Conte go and, if he is sacked, will owe the Italian €20m.

Nevertheless, the Blues are expected to show the former Juventus coach the door, despite him leading the side to the FA Cup.
