Ayoze Perez has insisted he has no plans to leave Newcastle United over the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move back to his homeland over the summer, but Perez is happy playing under Rafael Benitez at St. James' Park.

He has been a key man under the Spanish tactician and insists that he now feels a little English due to his time at Newcastle.

Perez told Radio Marca Tenerife: "To this day I have no plans to leave England.

"I am very comfortable at Newcastle and in the Premier League. It is very professional football", the attacker continued.

"I am a little English now."

Perez also revealed he was delighted to sign off on the season by putting Antonio Conte's Chelsea to the sword and scoring his first brace in the Premier League in the process.

"This season I ended with the victory against Chelsea on the last day.

"My first brace in the Premier League, my family were there, we finished tenth.

"It was very special."

The 24-year-old has been on the books at Newcastle since a 2014 move from Tenerife and helped the Magpies bounce straight back up to the Premier League when they suffered relegation in 2016.
