Hamburg are seriously considering keeping hold of striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga following the end of his loan at Leeds United.

The German side shipped Lasogga out to the Whites for the season last summer and he netted ten times for the Elland Road outfit.

With no option to sign Lasogga included in the loan he has is set to return to Hamburg and Leeds have held off making a move to re-sign him as they focus on other targets.

He earns €3.4m per year at Hamburg and despite the club's relegation from the Bundesliga is not in line for a pay cut due to a special clause in his contract.

It had been thought Hamburg would be desperate to offload him, but according to German daily Bild, the club are giving serious thought to keeping Lasogga.
