West Ham are interested in signing former Liverpool attacker Fabio Borini, who is also on Napoli’s radar this summer.

The 27-year-old attacker was not a certain starter for AC Milan this season and scored just two league goals in 29 appearances for the club.

However, his ability to play across the forward line and his experience make him an attractive player for a number of clubs in Italy and the rest of Europe.

It has been claimed that Borini features on new Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti’s shortlist of targets this summer and he is also attracting interest from England again.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is considering taking Borini to the London Stadium in the ongoing transfer window.

The Chilean is expected to receive huge backing from the West Ham owners in order to reshape the squad and signing a versatile attacker is said to be one of his priorities.

Borini’s experience of playing in the Premier League for Liverpool, Sunderland and Swansea is said to be an attraction for Pellegrini, who wants the Italian at West Ham this summer.

AC Milan recently took up the option of signing Borini on a permanent deal for a fee worth €6m and are expected to ask for more money if any club want the Italian.
