Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has raided his former club Paris Saint-Germain for a new goalkeeping coach and is close to adding Javi Garcia to his backroom staff at the Emirates Stadium.

Former goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton left Arsenal following Arsene Wenger’s departure and Emery has reserved the right to decide the composition of his backroom staff.

He is yet to finalise several positions on his coaching staff, but it seems the Spaniard is close to confirming the new goalkeeping coach for the Gunners in the coming days.

Emery is raiding his last club PSG and according to French broadcaster SFR Sport, the new Arsenal boss is set to add Garcia to his staff as Arsenal’s new goalkeeping coach.

The 38-year-old Spaniard has decided to leave the French champions and has agreed to follow Emery to the Emirates this summer.
