Liverpool have received a boost in their bid to buy Nabil Fekir from Lyon with the attacker's agent firmly playing down talk Bayern Munich are interested in his client.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to take Fekir to Anfield and it has been suggested Liverpool want to do a deal with Lyon before the World Cup.

Liverpool are also facing the prospect of having to deal with the self-imposed Premier League shortened summer transfer window, something other leagues in Europe are not restricted by.

As such, interest from Bayern Munich could make things difficult for Liverpool, especially as Lyon are in no rush to sell Fekir before the World Cup.

But real doubt has been cast on whether Bayern Munich are interested in rivalling Liverpool for Fekir.
