Celtic, Leeds United and Wolves target Abel Hernandez has confirmed his departure from Hull City.

The Uruguay international is out of contract at the KCOM Stadium this summer and despite Hull working to try to make sure he stays, he is on the move.

Due to his free agent status, Hernandez is an attractive proposition for a number of clubs and has been linked with Scottish champions Celtic, English Championship giants Leeds and Premier League new boys Wolves.

Now Hernandez has confirmed his departure from Hull, penning a message to the club's fans on social media.

The striker has issued warm words towards the Tigers and expressed his hope that the club can win promotion back to the Premier League.

Hull snapped up the 27-year-old from Italian outfit Palermo in 2014 for a fee of £10m.

Hernandez made a total of 110 appearances for the Tigers during his time at the club, scoring 39 goals and providing ten assists for his team-mates.

Injury meant that Hernandez made just ten appearances for Hull in the recently concluded season, but the striker did net eight goals.
