Napoli have reached an agreement over a contract with Arsenal goalkeeping target Bernd Leno over a proposed move to Italy this summer.
Following the departure of Pepe Reina at the end of last season, Napoli have been in the market for a goalkeeper and have been linked with shot-stoppers across Europe.
The Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper was always on Napoli’s priority list but the club also considered an option to sign Rui Patricio from Sporting Lisbon before backing out.
And it seems Leno’s arrival in Naples is imminent as according to Italian broadcaster Premium Sport, the Serie A giants have thrashed out personal terms with the goalkeeper.
The German goalkeeper has agreed to a move to the San Paolo this summer and are now waiting for the two clubs to thrash out an agreement over a fee for his transfer.

Leno has a €28m release clause in his contract with Leverkusen, but Napoli are keen to agree a negotiated a fee and have reportedly tabled a bid with the Bundesliga club.
Leverkusen are claimed to be unlikely to sell the goalkeeper for a figure less than the €25m mark this summer.
Arsenal have also been interested in signing Leno, but it seems Napoli have the edge in the race for the German shot stopper.
