Newcastle United linked striker Nicolai Jorgensen is expected to leave Dutch outfit Feyenoord during the ongoing transfer window.

During the January window Jorgensen was tipped to move to England after Newcastle made a bid for him, but Feyenoord rejected the overtures from the Premier League outfit.

An €18m offer from the Magpies was knocked back and Feyenoord were hopeful that they would be able to sell him for a larger fee during the summer transfer window.

According to Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad, Feyenoord are expecting to sell the striker in the coming days and weeks, but the club are aware that the striker's transfer value has diminished.

The Dutch outfit were hopeful that a good World Cup would soar Jorgensen’s value, but the Dane had an average tournament and lost his place in the Denmark starting eleven towards the end.

Feyenoord are not expecting the kind of money they were offered for the striker in January, but he is still expected to leave the club this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle rekindle their interest in the striker and look to snap him up for a lower price, but they have been linked with continuing to be keen on securing his services.
