Andy Couzens believes Leeds United fans should show some more patience as he certain that the club are working on deals to bring in players this summer.

The loan signing of Lewis Baker from Chelsea is the only significant bit of business Leeds have done this summer under new head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Their pursuit of a striker has stalled because of the wage demands of their top two targets, Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez, and the club did not actively look to sign Kyle Bartley from Swansea.

The Whites are looking to get a deal over the line for the loan signing of goalkeeper Jamal Blackman from Chelsea, but fans are worried that it could be another summer of missed opportunities for Leeds.

However, Couzens feels Leeds fans must show more patience as he is certain Bielsa and the club are working on deals and believes the World Cup has slowed the down transfer business everywhere.

The former Leeds star too to Twitter and wrote: “People saying we need signings, we do yes and am sure the manager is working on that part.

“And also it’s always slow after a World Cup.

“Look at all the leagues not a lot going on really so let’s be patient.”

Bielsa has indicated that as many as 15 players could be shown the door at Leeds this summer as he trims the squad.
