Fulham are interested in taking Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodj to England this summer, but the negotiations are expecting to be complicated.

The west London outfit have spent big on the eve of returning to the Premier League and they are not looking to slow down going into the final week of the transfer window.




Fulham are still in the market for a centre-back and the club have been scouring the market for options to strengthen their backline ahead of the start of the season.

And it has been claimed Anderlecht defender Mbodj has emerged as a target in the final week of the transfer window.
 


According to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, the Cottagers are interested in signing the Senegalese centre-half but negotitions are expected to be protracted.

Anderlecht have seen off interest from Premier League sides in Mbodj in recent years and are not keen to see him leave the club this summer too.

With only a week left, Fulham are sailing against the wind to conclude negotiations for the defender and get a transfer over the line.

The Craven Cottage outfit are expected to pursue the defender’s signature in the coming days and it remains to be seen whether they will be pull off the complicated transfer.
