West Ham United have been snubbed by FC Porto winger Yacine Brahimi, who wants to stay at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Hammers have backed new boss Manuel Pellegrini heavily in the summer transfer window and the club have not finished with their recruitment efforts yet.

They have been testing the water over taking Brahimi from Porto to the London Stadium.

West Ham tried to open talks with Porto to sign the winger, according to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo.

But Brahimi made it clear that he was not prepared to leave Porto to sign for West Ham this summer.

The Algeria international was not sold on the idea of joining Pellegrini's revolution at West Ham and prefers to stay in Portugal.

Now 28 years old, Brahimi joined Porto from Spanish side Granada in 2014 and has regularly been linked with a move away from the club.

He is now heading into his fifth season with the Portuguese club.
