Sampdoria could secure the services of Leicester City and West Ham target Joao Mario from Inter this summer, if things go their way.

The Serie A side have just snapped up Ronaldo Vieira from Leeds United and are in talks with West Ham to sign Pedro Obiang.

No deal has yet been done for Obiang and Sampdoria want to continue to add to their midfield, something which means they could soon be in the mix for Mario.

Inter are clear on their demands of €28m to let Mario go, either on a permanent deal or on loan with an obligation to buy, and several clubs including West Ham and Leicester have shown interest.

But if no move goes through at Inter's price point, Sampdoria could come into the mix, according to Sky Italia.

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero would try to take advantage of Inter's desire to offload Mario to take him to Genoa.

Portugal international Mario spent the second half of last season on loan in the Premier League with West Ham.

A host of clubs have shown interest in signing him this summer, but none have yet to meet Inter's demands.
