Everton defensive target Yerry Mina has expressed an interest in joining Lyon this summer as the French club prepare to table a bid for the defender.

Barcelona are ready to sell the Colombian centre-back this summer and he has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with a number of clubs believed to be interested.

Manchester United and Wolves have been linked with a move for him but Everton are the ones who are in advanced negotiations with Barcelona for the defender.

The Toffees are reportedly close to completing a deal to sign the Colombian from Barcelona for a transfer fee in the region of €32m this summer, but there could be another twist to the transfer tale.

Lyon have continued to keep tabs on Mina over the last few weeks and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the defender is keen to listen to an offer from the French giants.

The Ligue 1 outfit’s involvement in the Champions League is a key reason behind the Barcelona defender wanting to listen to an offer from the club.
