Sampdoria have been linked with holding key talks with Leicester City and West Ham target Joao Mario this evening.

Mario is keen to secure an exit from Inter this summer and the Nerazzurri are also looking to get him off the books.

Inter recently had a firm stance, wanting only a permanent departure for Mario.

But they have changed their view and are now more flexible, with a loan and an option to buy ready to be assessed at the San Siro.

And matters could be reaching a head as, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Mario was spotted going into a well-known hotel in Milan where Sampdoria's sporting director Walter Sabatini often stays.

Tongues have been set wagging that Sampdoria are moving to try to snap up Mario.

The midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and the Hammers have again been linked with wanting him.

Leicester are also a potential destination for the Portugal international.
