Tottenham Hotspur target Jack Grealish has reported for training for Aston Villa this morning and he is resigned to missing out on a move to the north London club on deadline day.

Spurs have been interested in signing the 22-year-old winger all summer but it seems their decision to delay a move for the player is about to cost them.

Aston Villa have rejected a £25m bid from Tottenham and have made it clear that they won’t be selling the player as they intend to keep hold of Grealish this season.

Grealish is reportedly unhappy with Villa’s decision to go back on their previous promises and he was under the impression that he would be allowed to join Tottenham.

The player has reportedly for training this morning ahead of their clash against Wigan and according to the Birmingham Mail, he is not trying to force through a move.

The winger remains unhappy that he is not being allowed to join Tottenham but he is not keen to create a ruckus behind the scenes in order force a transfer on Aston Villa.

Tottenham have been tipped to return with another bid for Grealish on deadline day but Villa remain confident that they will be able to hold on to the player.

They are expected to offer a new and improved contract to Grealish in the coming days.
