Moussa Marega is coming to terms with a proposed transfer to West Ham United collapsing.

The Hammers were busy over the course of the Premier League window as they dipped into their funds to back new manager Manuel Pellegrini.

FC Porto attacker Marega was on West Ham's shopping list and they were interested in signing him before the Premier League window closed.

However, according to Portuguese outlet Sapo Desporto, Porto's demands were simply too much for West Ham to stomach and they turned to Lucas Perez, signing him from Arsenal.

Marega, it has been claimed, has been left disappointed as he had his heart set on moving to the Premier League.

Now Porto are hoping he can quickly turn his focus to matters in Portugal.

Porto are only prepared to involve Marega again once he has cleared his head of the transfer disappointment and regained his focus.

There is also a new contract waiting for Marega to sign.

It was agreed earlier this summer, but is yet to be signed.
