Serie A side Sampdoria are tracking Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham ahead of a possible swoop.

The Italian outfit are in the market to make additions and have been trying to land Sebastian Driussi from Russian giants Zenit.

Officials from Sampdoria have headed to Russia in a bid to reach an agreement with Zenit, but the club also have other targets in mind.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, the Serie A club are interested in Abraham.

The 20-year-old did not complete a move away from Chelsea to another Premier League club when the Premier League transfer window was open and is still at Stamford Bridge.

How firmly Abraham is in new manager Maurizio Sarri's plans remains to be seen though.

He spent last season on loan at Swansea City and the Blues could decide that another loan stint is the way forward for the striker.

It is unclear whether Sampdoria are eyeing a loan, or would like to discuss options to take Abraham to Italy permanently.
