Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa believes that favourites and underdogs aren't decided before playing the game and it would be preferable for his team to demonstrate their superiority on the pitch against Rotherham United.

Rotherham visit Elland Road this weekend for the first local derby of the season and the Argentine manager and his team know about the kind of pressure they will face heading into that game.

Not only do the Whites have a well known and vastly experienced manager, but they also have enjoyed a better start to their campaign, winning all three of their games so far.

Bielsa though insists that their form doesn't in any way make them favourites and they will have to earn their points against their opponents, who have their own impressive record to boast of.

"You think that we are favourites, you're supposing that we should feel superior or the rival should feel inferior", Bielsa said at a press conference.

"These things are never decided before playing the game. It's better to demonstrate than to say. Regarding our team before playing we never think we're inferior to any other team."

On the style of play Leeds will come up against during the game, the veteran manager said that it will be different from the first two league games they have played.

"The style will be different. It won't be the same as the first two opponents.

"Their style of play is that they clear long to their strikers.

"This is the main difference but it doesn't mean it is going to be like that."

Leeds are currently placed second in the table with all six points from their first two games.
