Ragnar Klavan has passed his medical with Italian Serie A club Cagliari and the side are now preparing to receive the final documents from Liverpool.

Cagliari are racing against the clock to complete the signing of Klavan from Liverpool before the Italian transfer window closes tonight.




Klavan travelled to Italy earlier today to then undergo a medical with Cagliari and he has passed.

According to Sky Italia, Cagliari are now working to finalise the transfer before the Italian window closes in around half an hour.
 


Liverpool are expected to bank €2m from selling the Estonia defender to Cagliari.

And Klavan is expected to put pen to paper to a two-year contract with the option of an additional year.

He has fallen down the defensive pecking order at Liverpool over the course of the last year and, keen to play regularly this season, is heading to Italy.

Cagliari are expected to fight against relegation in Serie A this term.
