Sporting Lisbon have reached an agreement with Marseille to snap up former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Clinton Njie.

Marseille are willing to let Njie move this summer and with the transfer windows still wide open in France and Portugal, a deal can be done.

Sporting Lisbon are willing to pay Marseille a loan fee of €1m for Njie, while they will also take on all of the player's salary, according to French radio station RMC.

Though Marseille are happy to sign off on the former Tottenham man's departure, Njie has not yet given the green light.

Njie is claimed to be reflecting on the offer and the contractual conditions of the loan deal.

The forward made just 14 appearances for Tottenham in a disappointing north London spell, but he has clocked up 63 appearances for Marseille, who he joined from Spurs last summer.

Njie's contract at the Stade Velodrome is due to run until 2020.

Sporting Lisbon finished third in the Portuguese top flight last term.
