Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has pointed out that rather than the results, it is the performances of Marcelo Bielsa’s side that have been more heartening at the start of the season.

The Whites have made a great start to the season, winning their first two league games and scoring seven goals in the process at the start of the campaign.

They also defeated Bolton on Tuesday night to progress in the EFL Cup and Biela’s side have already been termed potential favourites for promotion to the Premier League.

Gray has been left delighted by the early wins this season, but the Leeds legend feels that the overall performances of the team should provide more confidence to the Whites fans.

The former midfielder believes it is hard to find one Leeds player who has not performed in the first two league games of the Championship season.

Gray told LUTV: “What pleases me the most, is the actual performances of the side and how they are playing.

“If you play against Stoke and scrape a victory that’s good and you go to Derby and scrape a victory, well, terrific three points, but it’s the manner we have picked up the points.

“The funny thing about the performances in the league games, right from the goalkeeper to [Ezgjan] Alioski – everybody has performed.

“There’s no one you can say that he had an off day – everybody has been terrific.”

Leeds will look to continue their good start to the season when they host Rotherham in a Yorkshire derby later today.
