Ryan Kent, on loan at Rangers from Liverpool, has dismissed thoughts that the Scottish Premiership is an easy league to play in.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard used his Liverpool connections to beat off competition and take Kent to Ibrox, and the highly rated winger is looking to kick on with his development and make an impact in Scotland.

The Scottish top flight is regularly talked down in some quarters, but Kent does not believe the game north of the border is in any way easy.

Kent, who believes Rangers can achieve anything this season, insists that breaking teams down in Scotland is tough.

"I don't think it's an easy league at all", the Liverpool contracted winger told Rangers TV.

"A lot of the sides are very tough.

"They set themselves out in such a way that it's very hard to break down.

"I think with the atmosphere at Ibrox we are capable of doing anything this season."

Kent was handed a start by Rangers boss Gerrard on Sunday as the Gers scored a 3-1 win away at Kilmarnock to book a place in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

The winger completed the full 90 minutes at Rugby Park.
