Claims that Derby County striker Chris Martin could move to Hull City have been played down, though a number of clubs are keen on securing him, according to BBC Humberside.

Martin, 29, is yet to feature for Frank Lampard’s team at Pride Park in the Championship so far and is currently training with the developmental squad at Derby.

The Scot, who failed to make a single appearance for Derby last season, was eventually loaned out to Reading in January where he failed to add to the solitary goal he scored in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough.

The striker has been linked with a move away from the club to try and kick-on with first team football elsewhere in the Championship, but links with Hull City have been played down.

The loan window for EFL clubs will remains open until the 17:00 UK time deadline later today and it is believed that a number of clubs remain interested in trying to sign Martin on loan.

The 29-year-old scored his only goal of the season in a 1-0 win over Chelsea U23s in the Premier League 2 clash last week.
