Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has claimed that Leigh Griffiths, who has penned a contract extension with Celtic, has at least another 100 goals in him before he decides to call it a day.

Griffiths, who signed a four-year deal with the Scottish champions in a deal that will keep him at Parkhead at least until 2022, scored his 100th goal for the Old Firm giants during their win over FK Suduva last month.

The striker has enjoyed a trophy-laden career in Glasgow with Celtic and has made 190 appearances for the Hoops, winning ten domestic trophies since joining the club in 2014.

McManus was quick to extend his support towards Griffiths on social media by commenting on the news that confirmed the Scotland international’s new contract at the club.

He also went on to claim that the Celtic attacker has at least another 100 goals in him before he decides to hang up his boots.

“Huge boost for Celtic as Leigh is coming into the peak years of his career. Another 100 goals in him no doubt about it”, McManus wrote on Twitter.

Griffiths has earned 19 caps for Scotland and looks set to continue as one of the key players under Brendan Rodgers as Celtic aim to win their eighth consecutive Premiership title this season.

The Bhoys will face St Mirren away from home on tonight to shift their focus back to catching league leaders Hearts after the international break.
