Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has revealed that the Bhoys’ Europa League game against RB Leipzig at Parkhead produced the best atmosphere he has ever played in so far in his career.

Christie, who spent two seasons on loan at Aberdeen before returning to Parkhead in the summer, has enjoyed an excellent few weeks with Celtic now.

The midfielder produced a match-winning performance against Hearts in the Scottish League Cup semi-final and has not looked back since then while racking up the assists as well as scoring goals in the subsequent games.

Christie registered the assist for Odsonne Edouard’s winner against RB Leipzig during Celtic’s 2-1 win in the Europa League and has filled the void created by a few injury concerns for the Scottish champions.

The 23-year-old even went on to claim that the atmosphere at Parkhead during the win over RB Leipzig was the best he has ever played in so far in his career.

Christie also added that he is excited to relive many more European nights like the one against RB Leipzig in the future and the new deal he has signed at Celtic just finishes off an amazing week.

“The game against Leipzig was the best atmosphere I’ve ever played in and this just tops off an amazing week for me”, Christie told the club’s official website.

“It was such a great night for everybody.

"It was my first true taste of a European night in a Celtic strip here and I absolutely loved it.

“Hopefully there’s more to come and I’m really excited.”

Christie signed a new three-year deal at Parkhead on Monday and is currently with the Scotland national team ahead of their UEFA Nations League double header against Albania and Israel respectively.
