Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson does not see Aaron Ramsey making the move from Arsenal to Spurs, despite admitting he is a quality player who has been harshly treated by the Gunners.

The Gunners have withdrawn a contract offer to Ramsey and the midfielder is now expected to leave the Emirates Stadium when his current deal expires in the summer.

A number of clubs are eyeing signing Ramsey on a free transfer and it was put to Robinson on beIN Sports that a switch to Spurs could happen, with Mauricio Pochettino's side watching the purse-strings and spying a bargain.

But Robinson indicated that very few players can deal with switching between the two north London giants and admits he could not have done it himself during his career.

The former goalkeeper said: "I don't think that Aaron Ramsey is going to have a shortage of takers at the end of the year.

"He's a very talented player who has been harshly treated by not having his contract given to him at Arsenal.

"For me personally, when I was at Tottenham I'm not sure it's a move that I would have chosen to do or could have done."

Tottenham did not sign a single player in the summer transfer window, becoming the first top flight side not to do so since 2003.

And with a new stadium to pay for, Tottenham could view Ramsey as an attractive proposition on a free transfer.

But there is strong competition for the Welshman's signature, not least from Serie A, where several clubs are eyeing taking him to Italy.
