Arsenal legend Ian Wright feels there is too much being made of the video that revealed some of the Gunners' players inhaling laughing gas.

The video was recorded before the season began, but emerged recently and had Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Matteo Guendouzi in it.

Arsenal have since released a statement claiming that they will “remind players of their responsibilities” but Wright feels there is too much being made of the video.

The Gunners legend says that players are within their rights to have fun and feels that the critics are trying to derail the Gunners’ season.

Like the club said, the players have to be reminded of their responsibilities”, Wright said on his official YouTube channel.

“But the guys haven’t actually done anything wrong. The only thing they’ve done wrong is they have gone somewhere and they have trusted people to look out for their back.

“At the end of the day, they have not done anything illegal.

“It’s like when we were playing. We used to have the Tuesday club, we used to go out and drink. It wasn’t illegal.

“The thing is people didn’t sell us out, they’ve been sold out. And now it looks so bad.

“And obviously they are trying to derail what’s looking like a very very good season by putting the guys under pressure in respects of their off field antics.”

Arsenal took the lead twice against Manchester United but could not hold on as they settled for a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.

Unai Emery’s side dropped to fifth because of the result against Manchester United and will hope to get back into the top four when they take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday in the Premier League.
