Wolverhampton Wanderers could have competition for Japanese talent Shoya Nakajima, with FC Porto now looking in his direction.

Currently on the books at Portuguese club Portimonense, the 24-year-old has caught the eye with his displays this season.

Nakajima has clocked 12 appearances in the Portuguese top flight for Portimonense, turning out against Porto and contributing the assist for his side's only goal in a 4-1 loss.

According to Portuguese sports daily A Bola, Porto see Nakajima as the perfect replacement for Yacine Brahimi, who they could be forced to sell, or lose without a fee.

Brahimi will only have six months left on his contract in January.

Porto are looking at replacements and have identified Nakajima, though they know the Japanese will cost the €20m sum contained in his release clause.

Wolves are in talks to sign the winger, but no deal has been done yet.

Porto enjoy a good relationship with Portimonense, which they feel will stand them in good stead if they do make a move for Nakajima.
