Leeds United are yet to make a bid for Hoffenheim’s versatile Swiss midfielder Steven Zuber with a view to signing him this month.

The 26-year-old has become a squad option at Hoffenheim this season and has made just six starts in the Bundesliga for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

Zuber could look to move on to secure regular playing time in the second half of the season.

Championship leaders Leeds are said to be keen on him amid their plans to strengthen the squad.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites are yet to make a concrete move for Zuber or table a bid for him thus far.

Leeds have been keeping tabs on the player for some time and are interested in probing the possibility of signing him.

But they are yet to make an offer as Marcelo Bielsa’s ponders his options following back-to-back defeats this season for Leeds.

The Swiss midfielder’s ability to play in multiple positions could be an attraction for Bielsa, but the Leeds boss has often played down the possibility of signing anyone in January.
