Inter striker Gabigol remains open to the option of joining West Ham United during the January transfer window.

The Brazilian recently returned to Inter following a loan spell at Santos, but the Nerazzurri are keen to offload him this month.

Despite the player wanting to have a conversation with Luciano Spalletti, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has made it clear that Gabigol does not have a place in the squad this season.

Clubs from Brazil are interested in him, with Flamengo leading the chase, but there is also considerable interest from the Premier League, with West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton all linked.

The striker reportedly told his agent to stop talks with West Ham as he wants to convince Inter he should stay, but according to Sky Italia, joining the Hammers remains an option for him.

Gabigol has been juggling with all his options, but the player has not killed the idea of moving to the London Stadium this month.

However, the Brazilian would have to obtain a work permit before he could be eligible to play for the east London club.

West Ham could be in the market for a striker as there is speculation of Javier Hernandez’s future at the club.
