Cagliari Indicate Towards Potential Exit Of Chelsea Target

Cagliari are pushing ahead for the signature of Boca Juniors midfielder Nahitan Nandez as a possible replacement for Nicolo Barella, in a sign the Chelsea target could be set to be sold.

Barella’s future at Cagliari has come under the microscope as it seems more and more likely that he could be on his way to Chelsea during the January transfer window.

Napoli have also been pushing for his signature and he has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it seems Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri are finally on the same page with regards to their interest in the Italian midfielder.

Chelsea have pressed forward with their pursuit of Barella and it seems Cagliari are also preparing to let the midfielder go as they are actively seeking a replacement.

And according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Serie A outfit have moved ahead with their attempt to sign Uruguayan midfielder Nandez from Boca Juniors.

The midfield man has emerged as Cagliari’s top target and they want to bring him in as a replacement for Barella.

Cagliari would still prefer to keep the Italian until the end of the season, but they are prepared to sell him in January if they receive a big money offer.

And they have firmly set their sights on Boca Juniors’ Nandez in the event Barella leaves the club this month.
